Watch Me~Book Review
Watch Me by Doyin Richards, Illustrated by Joe Cepeda
Thank you with Macmillan Children’s Publishing Company for the opportunity to review this book. My opinion of this book is my own.
Synopsis
Meet Joe.
Joe dreamed of coming to America to fulfill his dreams.
Many warned Joe how things maybe in a new country.
They were right.
But will Joe let that stop him from fulfilling his dreams?
My Thoughts
I love this book and how it can used as a tool to introduce immigration to young children. The author did an awesome job telling the story from an immigrant’s point of view and discussed with sensitivity what one may face when coming to a new country. It also can teach children determination no matter what they go through. The illustrations matched the story perfectly.
