My Five Favorite Quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a very influential person in the world. I have used many of his quotes in the past because they give me so much inspiration. I shared some of my favorite ones last month on my social media pages. I hope you find inspiration in these as well. If you have a favorite quote from Martin Luther King, Jr. please feel free to comment. Please share these positive quotes with family and friends.

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'”~Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”~Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent things that matter.”~Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Whatever your life’s work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better.”~Martin Luther King, Jr.

My go to quote is “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase”. I have had to use my faith in quite a few situations in my short lifetime. I’m the type of person who likes to be in control of situations that will have a big impact on my life. If I could sign up to know what will happen in the future every time I have to make a decision, I would gladly raise my hand. Life does not work that way, and I cannot be in control of everything. The only thing I can do is rely on my faith that things will work out in the end. Taking the first step, is sometimes the scariest thing to do when you do not know what lies ahead, but it is the necessary thing to do. I encourage you to take the first step of faith in fulfilling your dream or help someone else take theirs.

What was your latest situation/decision that you had to take a step of faith?
