Langston Hughes is one of my inspirations for writing. His writings helped me realize my love of poetry. He was also an important figure in Harlem Renaissance and wrote about the African American experience. One of his most famous poems is Harlem-Dream Deferred. For more information on Langston Hughes, read his biography at https://www.britannica.com/biography/Langston-Hughes.

Here is the recap of the quotes I used for this month from Langston Hughes. I hope you will add these for your inspiration.

“Hold fast to dreams for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.”~Langston Hughes

“I have discovered in life that there are ways of getting almost anywhere you want to go, if you really want to go.” ~Langston Hughes

“When peoples care for you and cry for you, they can straighten our your soul.”~Langston Hughes

“Perhaps the mission of an artist is to interpret beauty to people-the beauty within themselves.”~Langston Hughes

“Like a welcome summer rain, humor may suddenly cleanse and cool the earth, the air and you.”~Langston Hughes

My favorite quote is “Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly”. We have to aim to fulfill our dreams. I believe our dreams are a part of us and help shape who we are. They help build our drive to be a better person. If we don’t hold on to our dreams and work to bring our dreams to life we lose ourselves. What are your dreams?

If you love these quotes please share with others to help inspire them. I pray that you hold on to your dreams and may they be fulfilled. Until next time…Be Positive, Be Blessed, Be a Blessing.

Blessings,

Randa B.
