Adventures With Leena Post 3-Party and Books

The month of February our adventures were full of fun and excitement.  One adventure made us more tired than the other, but we had a blast.

We celebrated Leena’s second birthday in February. I usually plan her party for February since our birthday is at the end of January. We had her party at a venue called Tot Town.  It was fun place for the toddlers to play.  It had a boutique in the front and the play area in the back.  The play area was full of opportunities to explore.

I did a Sesame Street theme.

I made signs and a photo prop.

Tot Town provided balloons and some tableware. We had pizza Eagle One (my new favorite pizza spot), drinks, fruit and veggies, and cake.

The cupcake cake was so good and the cake decorator did a fabulous job.

The children were able to play before we ate and then the owner played with them and helped open gifts and clean up.  I loved seeing the children play and explore. We all had a great time!!

Leena still remembers her birthday.  Every now and then she says “birthday, birthday”.  I am glad that I was able to do something special for her.

Our second adventure was The Friends of the Library book sale.  This was our second time going and Leena’s and my mom’s first time.  We decided to go on Friday this time to the members’ only pre-sale.  I loved being able to buy books before it opened to the public, but it was very overwhelming because it was so crowded.  I do not like crowds.  We had to search for parking so that had me frustrated.  Looking for books was fine until it was time to get in the long lines with a restless two year old.

We found some good books and I brought a suitcase with me this time, but next time I am bringing a little red wagon or some other pull device.  It started to rain before we checked out on our second round, and I am not even going to discuss the drama with that, lol.  I was glad a volunteer assisted us with bringing our books out.

Overall, we still had a good time.  We were tired, but I love books.  We probably will not go on a Friday again because that was too much and the better deals are on Sunday anyway.

Until next adventure…

*Please lift up the owners of Tot Town. There was a fire in their unit. Positive thoughts and prayers going up for them.

Love it! Time spent with Leena is so precious, cherish every moment, because these tender years are your training ground that God has given you to mold her mind body, soul, and spirit, so when as she grows the seeds that you have down are deeply rooted and Leena will blossom into the beautiful flowers of maturity, you 2 had a wonderful day, thanks for sharing-therefore the best is yet to come.
