Five Inspirational Quotes from Zora Neale Hurston
Zora Neale Hurston was an American author. She had a huge influence during the Harlem Renaissance. She wrote about the African American culture in the rural south. One of her well known novels is Their Eyes Were Watching God, which was also later made into a movie. To learn more about Zora Neale Hurston visit the website https://www.zoranealehurston.com/. You can also read her biography at https://www.britannica.com/biography/Zora-Neale-Hurston. I have always been intrigued with the Harlem Renaissance and the authors in that time period.
Here is the recap of the quotes from Zora Neale Hurston that I posted on my social media and I hope you find inspiration from them. Please feel free to share with others.
“No matter how far a person can go the horizon is still way beyond you.” Zora Neale Hurston
“Nothing that God ever made is the same thing to more than one person. That is natural.” Zora Neale Hurston
“The man who interprets Nature is always held in great honor.” Zora Neale Hurston
“Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place.” Zora Neale Hurston
“There are years that ask questions and years that answer.” Zora Neale Hurston
One of my favorites was “No matter how far a person can go the horizon is still way beyond you.” Zora Neale Hurston”
This quote is so inspiring. It reminded me to keep pushing towards my main goals that I want to accomplish. Just because I have come far in one area does not mean that I have to stop or that I have reached my destination because there is still so much that can be accomplished or discovered.
My other favorite is “There are years that ask questions and years that answer.” There are years where we go through so much and don’t understand what or why things are going the way we are, then the years that follow (and sometimes those years can be way down the line) give us an “A hah” moment. Sometimes I wish I did not have to go through those questionable years, but those years shaped me into who I am today. Have you had years that made you question everything, but then found your answers years later?
I hope these quotes give you inspiration. Next recap coming soon.
Be Blessed,
Randa B.
