Father’s Day 2020 Roundup

Father’s Day 2020 Roundup

Hi Everyone! How are you all? We are almost fully settled in our new place, but still have more boxes to go through.  Guess what most of the boxes are filled with? Books! I need more bookshelves, and of course I keep adding more books because I love books and I love to read with my daughter.  I wanted to keep my word and do the Father’s Day Book Roundup, and finally have a chance to get some more writing in. So, here are a few books to read with your little ones celebrating dad.

The Berenstain Bears-We Love Our Dad by Jan and Mike Berenstain*

Papa Bear is the best dad that a cub could ask for.  He’s always there to help the cubs bait their hooks when they go fishing, throw a ball to play catch, and pull their sled to the top of Dead Bear Hill! Yes. Pap Bear is one busy dad.  So for Father’s Day, the cubs decide to do all of Papa Bear’s work for him.  What a special treat!

Just Me and My Dad by Mercer Mayer*

Mercer Mayer’s Little Critter is going on a camping trip with his dad in this classic, funny, and heartwarming book. Whether he and his dad are canoeing, fishing, or building a campfire, parents and children alike will relate to this beloved story. A perfect gift for Father’s Day . . . or any day!

I Love You, Daddy by Jillian Harker, Illustrated by Kristina Stephenson*

Little Bear is ready for some grown-up adventures-at least, Daddy Bear thinks so.  But they soon discover that Little Bear needs a helping hand.  And who can help out better than Daddy Bear?

Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry, Illustrated by Vashti Harrison*

Sometimes, love looks like braids, puffs, and twists.

Zuri’s hair lets her be her. It coils and kinks to perfectly match a princess tiara or a superhero cape. But an extra-special day calls for an extra-special style! Comb in hand, Daddy steps in to help Zuri find the perfect fit.
