Can I Get Cheese With That?
Do you know someone who is always munching on cheese? Adds it to their sandwich or burger all the time? Eats shredded cheese out of the bag? Loves Cheez Its, Cheese Nips or any other tasty cheese crackers? Lastly, are they known to be the mouse in the house?
If you do not know anyone, well Hi, my name is Miranda and I’m addicted to cheese! I love it! I love it! A few years ago, I graduated from the Kraft slices to the cheese in these type of packets:
I realized I had it bad when on one of my previous weight loss attempts, I had stopped eating cheese for a couple of weeks (I believe), but my dad brought home some sharp cheddar Cracker Barrel block cheese, and after one bite-it was back on! I have not tried to stop since.
My doctor suggested I cut out cheese previously. I can remember the convo like yesterday:
Me: I really want to lose weight.
Doc: Okay, I want you to cut out soda.
Me: Okay
Doc: Drink un-sweeten tea.
Me: That one I don’t know about, but okay (in my head-I can drink green tea)
Doc: Cut out cheese
Me: (mouth drops) Seriously that is impossible!! Don’t think I can do that, but I’ll eat in moderation. Â

My favorites include Colby Jack, Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar. They say the white cheese is better for you. Okay, I love Provolone, Mozerrella, and Monsteur. There are so many other kinds out there I have not tried yet. So far I do not like blue cheese. Feta cheese or goat cheese does not agree with my stomach, so I stay clear of those lol. I love Pepper Jack, but not too much. I only eat Swiss if it’s melted on a sandwich. Are you a lover of cheese? If so, what are your favorites?
With all seriousness I know that this is one area I need to work on to see results in my healthy journey. I can say that I did go one entire day without cheese so far in August, we’ll see how that goes, but for now here are the updates for July.
I weighed myself this time. My weight was 247.8, can’t be mad cause no work. I completed 12 of my 23 scheduled workouts, 52%. Not 80% 😔. I did increase my water intake, and cut down soda some. I have to do better if I want to see results. I did not want to consider going on a diet, but I am considering the keto diet or intermittent fasting.
If you are on a weight loss journey, is this a problem area for you? How are you managing it?
Goals for August:
1) Make it to the gym w/o excuse
2) Limit soda 1x a week
3) Limit cheese
4) Complete at least 80% of my schedule workouts
Here’s to a better August!
