The Word for Friend~Book Review
The Word For Friend Written and Illustratedby Aidan Cassie
Thank you Madison with Macmillan Children’s Publishing Company for a review copy of this book. My opinion of this book is my own.
Synopsis
Kemala is excited about her new home.
She is excited to go to school and meet new friends.
She cannot wait to talk with them and tell them all about herself, but when she gets to class things are different than what she expected.
She speaks another language. They speak another language.
How will her first day go? And the next?
She may not know the language, but with a newfound friend she finds a way to break out of her shell.
My Thoughts
I love this book about friendship. I am sure we all can relate to being in a new situation where we feel alone because things are different for us. Then there is always someone or something that helps us find our way.
This is an excellent book to help teach our children about new situations and helping them meet new people, and also being the friend that someone else may need.
